monkeyshine speaks well here, imo.
had many, many of these and aside from having all your reference materials available, what is almost more important is knowing what each has, and where to look for items of reference (not 'answers', mind you) as you go. it is similar to those take-home exams we have all had; most of the time it is about being able to reference your notes, more than it is 'looking for answers'.
oh, and mute your computer speakers, and turn off NT and your IM client(s) ; )
