what jaline said, besides remember that sometimes small shops struggle as you pointed out "who are up and coming (apparently)" also you said that you would be the lead creative after 6 months. Many things can happen in 6 months. More people can get hired, fired, relocated or simple the head of the company decided to wait another six months and so forth.
Now in big shops if you are the caliber the shop needs you might escalate faster than what you think but dont get yourself fooled if you know you couldnt pull it off then you are better off in a smaller shop to get the experience and then move forward.
