    So basically, the consensus, is that while being nice idea, Montauk is fine in warmer months, but not so much fun in winter, and I'm guessing if you have a car, it's much easier. The train ride is a long time and I just had a look at the timetables and if I do go, I'd ge there at 2:30pm and have to wait until 10:30 to get the train back.

    So in terms of a good day outta manhattan, I'd be better to go a little closer, like rockaway beach or long beach.

    Right?

    Thanks for everyone's help by the way. I'm doing an anti valentines day out treat for my lady.
