My ex-girlfriend's dad used to tell me about being a young boy in Germany during/after the second world war. The Americans were occupying West Germany and him and his friends used to try to mimic the Americans to taunt them. Trouble was they didn't know English so they were reduced to phonetic imitation of things they thought they heard the Americans saying. He had a whole language of phrases which I can't remember now, but two phrases they used to shout to the soldiers were "Lumpen Shirtybin ho-ho" and "Yirking Shitting Crycry". They had no idea what these things meant, but they were sure it would annoy the soldiers.
