    yes it will unlock first gen iphone (not 3G) and upgrade to 2.0

    make sure you know how to put your iphone on recovery mode and also how to select ipsw when you click Restore button (its Shift and click Restore, it will allow you to browse to find your custom created ipsw)

    also, you need 3 files.
    bin 3.9
    bin 4.6
    2.0 ipsw file

    make sure you click on enable baseband update with checking unlock baseband
