I like it for 'looking around' whenever I think I want to buy something I cannot afford or something I can't find anywhere else...but I never bought nor sold anything on ebay.
I did 2 or 3 html-pages for them some years ago and I was surprised about the crappy code the used (pages were for their old design)...
...I think the idea / the service and the functionality are great, but the sitedesign is crap. 'designers'@ebay think more in terms of databases and links, not interaction.
so, go on Jaline, redesign their site (let the logo as is, as this is completely another story), but analyse their clutter, simplify it to the max, and layout it on a consistent clean grid. make it faster and more appealing for the user.
