^ it's true, you can easily just use xcode, but for those who are unfamiliar with compiling code on their own it can be intimidating (which is why i mentioned it doesn't have a dedicated ide like processing, that abstracts the gritty work).
i don't think that my post implied dropping whatever you're learning now and learning something new. if a specific framework/language really interests me, i pursue it rather than limit myself to what i'm currently working on. that doesn't mean that i know tidbits of different languages without ever learning and understanding them. i do where you're coming from though.
