building iphone apps

  i'd come up with a few ideas for apps after I got my phone
  only for similar apps to appear in the shop a week or so later
  maybe the iphone was recording my brainwaves and broadcasting to apple or developers :P

  one idea was you set a timer and your phone then rings when times-out. handy for getting out of boring meetings/dates/situations

  when i thought of the idea there wasnt anything like that, now theres two or three.

  stewdio, how easy are apps to put together? do you need a lot of technical knowledge or is it basically like a jigsaw where you piece together all the bits you want then customise/design to suit?
