    A few things that people in these discussion overlook which Christianity played a significant role in:

    Inspiring the work and lives of people such as:

    marting luther king
    mother theresa
    george washington
    abraham lincoln
    isaac newton
    galilio galilei
    nicholaus capernicus
    gregor mendel

    ...to name a few. Oh and there's the endless list of medical and aid missions to nations around the world, civil rights movements, etc...
