A Documentary about a hardcore "Christian" religious fanatical group. If you judge all Christians or all of Christianity based on this documentary, you may as well do the same in regards to race.
- ..just seems to be that they follow the letter of your creed, whereas the rest of you pick and choose whats 'acceptable'.pft.mikotondria3
- ..acceptable compared to the thinking of the day, so you'll be accepted and popular.mikotondria3
- ha, pwned!monospaced
- That's an interesting view. You are making lots of assumptions there, which could only rightfully be based on a solid understanding of the Bible. Which I would venture to say, you probably don't have?designbot
- understanding of the Bible.designbot
- +! Design bot... I am Christian, but it annoys me how some Christians go over board.akoni
- It's a true statement, independent of your judgment of my biblical knowledge.mikotondria3
- miko, simply put, it's not a true statement. It's based on a presumption of what the Bible teaches. You must assume this fanatical group is doing just that?designbot
- this fanatical group is doing just that?designbot
- What part of their teachings does not come from the Bible ?mikotondria3
- Lets start with bringing cardboard cutouts of George Bush into Church service. The Bible never teaches to manipulate children to get them to conform either.designbot
- to get them to conform and "believe" either.designbot

- "if you don't open your mouth the holy spirit can't talk" ..that's a lie.BenWeeks
- The irony here is that a lot of this demonstrates disobedience to the bible. Jesus doesn't emotionally manipulate people. That's shallow.BenWeeks

designbot, that is very true. As a non-Christian myself I must remind myself that not all of them are as fanatic.
But, they all share one required belief as a religious group: accepting Jesus Christ as the one and only lord and savior.
Although the crazies take it to another level, the belief alone is a bit fanatic and far-fetched. Oh well, carry on.

It's not about putting all christians, in the same bag. If you watch this movie and you think that, then you are no better than the big lady telling the kids they are the soldiers of god.
Something that was shocking to me, is that all the kids interviewed on camera, spoke like adults. None of them talked like kids, kinda tells you that the kids are no longer speaking from their heart, they are only repeating phrases they been thought to learn, ironically enough it almost seem like they have lost their soul.

I don't get why "normal" religious folks get all up in arms when other people freak out about the radical tweakers like in this film.

^
because, they are scared to be grouped in the same bag that this guys are, I think its a fair assumption to make, just read the responses here. The movie is about a group of extremists, that believe they are a part of an army. Its not about christians in general, yet most people see it as a chance to point and laugh to the entire religion.

If you believe that there is a supreme, benevolent creator, who created man with free will, to exercise that freewill in the fight against evil, which exists here on earth, in order to bring others to the understanding and surrender of themselves so that they might live forever from the sacrifice of Gods only son, then using any mean necessary to educate children as to the serious nature of how the world works, and what they need to do to save themselves from eternal damnation, is entirely justified.
If you believe in the above, *and I know you do*... then there can be no question that children need to be educated this way, against the very great peril that is sin and hell and all that.
Please justify your softly softly approach, considering your belief in the cosmic battle for all our souls 'gainst the wrath of satan (and all his damned followers, etc etc.).. ?- either this world IS a desperate battle for our souls against unimaginable terror. Or it is not. Choose a side. Act.mikotondria3
