Okay, I was about to say it's a step in the right direction etc.. blah blah blah.
BUT - I just clicked on a random dataset .. ended up here:

It's supplying the data in a PDF ... how the hell is this going to be useful to anyone? Shouldn't the data be supplied in a range of formats..? If they stored it in a database, they'd be able to supply it via RSS, XML, XLS, CSV etc. etc.. It could be amazing.
At the moment it looks like a large part of the site is just sign-posting, providing links to data that's already supplied by other government sites.
The SPARQL stuff looks interesting, but I'm not sure how many datasets are accessible that way.
The front-end could do with some obvious improvements, and it's difficult to find stuff. But still - I'm kind of impressed that this project even got off the ground.
