You're right, it is tacky. But if I were a doctor, I'd be offering my medical expertise. If I could afford to take leave from work, I'd be volunteering to help clean up and rebuild. Tacky, cliche, or whatever...it's an expression of wanting to help.I appreciate the time and critique you guys have offered. If you'd like to collaborate on other ways to generate support and offer assistance, I'd be happy to offer my time. I think the creativity in this community could be impactful.
