Just seems like feeding on the scabs of others to me. Especially when people only get into charity mode in times of these televised disasters and when there are plenty of people to help out right around the corner they ignore. The cynicism I have is only me being honest with myself. And knowing that "helping" is neither good nor bad, its how you help and what you personally take from it which makes it positive or not. Making victims or excuses of people for some spiritual hand job to flaunt around publicly for recognition or prestige from other is just effed up. Which isnt always the case, but mostly the case. And that BS self deluded lying ego boosting garbage is what i think is wrong in society. Not enough cynicism. Oh and the whole I donated now i need to coerce others into donating to the cause that makes me feel good. I'll use social pressure to get them to "help" me feel good about myself.
But hey if your on the level and motives true, and honest with yourself about what your gain is. well then you probably already know what im saying. and i offer the traditional good luck
