Maybe try to be a little more specific about what's not working and what you tried to solve it. This is no tech forum, but people might be able to help you.
I've been on a network for years where I'm the only mac dealing with 7 pc's. This worked flawlessly, both wired and wireless with a windows 2000 server. But this is years ago already, right now I'm fortunate enough to be on a full mac / xserve network, which is such a joy.
