It does seem the dodgyness of Winblows servers is fine if you have a huge IT department of cheetos-munching server-rebooting overweight guys wearing polo shirts and listening to talk radio all day long while living in the glass cage full of servers and fans and wires and occasionally fixing the exchange server for the boss....
But for those of us with small offices and real work, a linux fileserver just works....
