  My grandfather was a turret captain on the uss Tennessee that day. He was in an officers meeting when the strike begain and the turret he was in charge of was destroyed and he lost all his men.
  He lived well into his 90s and passed away a few years ago but only begain talking about his experience that day a a few years before his death.
