    PC parts now are so not an issue; most people (at least in my little circle of peers) have media rooms / offices and have multiple boxes for various tasks. seedbox, media server, work machine and a gaming rigs. (more if you include tablets and labbys) this isnt a jab at any one platform since you can run them all in unison. Desktop aren't dead, they have been stabilized and are the backbone of most development. although it's nice that the laptop has caught up in performance. parts have become dirt cheap, especially hdd space, you're paying 40 cents on the gig now! and there's SSD at incredible prices! golden age of computers we're in!
