I was going to recco the VX1000 cause i've heard some great things about that, but then i noticed the VX2000 which is brand new, the pd150 hasn't been updated in like 2-3 years also... here's the skinny

but the bottom line is some more features on the PD150, but for the cost you can work around that too with the VX2000, they are in essence the same camera - as for accessories, since they both have just one lens, you may want a wide angle attachment to create dif shots, those vary in price, and you will need a good bag for sure, and you may need at least 2 batteries and dv cassettes galore... and all dat stuff does cost a bit
