I have experienced no problems with El Capitan. Mail.app sometimes acts a bit weirdly, taking up a buncha memory for no apparent reason, but I have long been a user of Airmail anyway, so I easily avoid this. I've submitted reports about Mail.app anyway.
I half suspect that it's simply due to the age of my iMac (2010 ...) but I cannot justify upgrading it for a number of reasons.
I am about to start freelancing again out of sheer boredom (ASP.NET development, IE7-8 support... it gets to you no matter if the job pays well) so I thought "maybe I'll get a new MBP, something I can move around with".
But I'd have to face the facts:
* if Affinity Designer was released as a Chrome app or Android app, I'd buy a Chromebook Pixel.
* If Affinity was released for Windows, I'd buy a Microsoft Surface Book or Surface Pro.There's basically nothing keeping me tied to my iMac besides about three apps and that's why I've never upgraded it.
- TL;DR: El Capitan was fine for me and the times it has played up I have so far ascribed to the age of my iMac rather than OS instabilitywanda
