VR and AR is the new platform for GUI and not the most polished interfaces will gain ground (as we've seen it before). For the current 2d displays it's inevitable to exit the boundaries of the viewport and get closer to the 360° and 3d experience as possible.

I hope that content providers will move on to richer storytelling with the help of designers (ux or wtf you name it) so that content consumption actually starts to become an experience...

    • Architectural offices are pissing their pants over VR - bosses talked to me about it, having no idea whatsoever what's involved in setting it up.face_melter
    • Like I have time to fucking learn Unity or Unreal on top of everything else.face_melter
    • Get involved in that because architecture is one of the fields where vr grows explosively, sted
    • and if you don't want to learn that find ppl. who are experts and move on to management.sted
    • Yeah, we've had people demoing it in the office but our gfx dept. consists of... me. And learning 3DS Max is more important for my future prospects.face_melter
