    go with a good work horse. I used to have an old pentax k1000. Totally manual. Loved it!

    Make sure you get the asahi pentax though, they were solid metal, you could drop one of those bad boys and it wouldn't get a scratch.

    They are a bit more expensive than the regular k1000, but they are way better.

    With a 50mm lens, you have a really decent camera, think I may pick one up myself. Sold mine a while ago.
