  Obviously went to the wrong bits mate - it's got it's fair share of Ned scum, like any other British industrial city, but it's one of those places that's spent a lot of money on renewal so it's a million miles from the old razor gang stereotypes etc...
  Very creative city, decent clubbing (best if your into deep house/Detroit techno), arts well represented, big football city (don't advise visiting on Old Firm match day!), great people etc etc - you should definately visit.

  Oh aye - and I do live there, before you ask :D
