Number 2 is the best, an obvious solution, but a nice one.
D is kinda cool too, but it does look like like an arse.

BUY THIS BOOK:
"Stop Stealing Sheep & Find Out How Type Works" - Erik Spiekermando tons of type studies,
do a mood board,
what FEELING do you want to portray?
who are you targeting,
etc..

Basically I think you are still being too obvious. Try something crazy like using a red man and red type or use a pic of a woman, get what I mean?
Try a more random idea, it would really funk it up. Your type looks ok though.

although better than the first go round, i personally think you still have way to go...i would like to see more font variations, mix the bauhaus with another font, stack the words, one word upper one lowercase, etc...i think a medium bauhaus would be better, the whole title in a heavy weight is too much...the bd letter combos are nice, but none work for me yet...how about at an angle, b on the top left and the d at the bottom right corner?...

lose the drop shadow... perhaps push pass the icon onto something more loose... do something iconic... but freehand that part.

Maybe my perceptions have been tainted by all that has been said..but I'm still having a hard time with version 2. It seems to me that you're having a difficult time because you haven't sat down and conceptualized before you started working. It looks to me like you are just trying to do something cool...not conceptually thought through.
Whenever I'm stuck its because I have skipped a step in the concepting process. Take a step back and ask some questions. Why did you choose this type? Why the icon? Dig a little deeper conceptually.

Hi Mr Blueman
I thought the name sounded like a superhero.
just an idea. look around you. see things you like and (yikes) do sort of copies. After a while you'll get something your own and it'll benicer than the stuff you've been working on i reckon. It'll take a bit of time
Good Luck

Don't be satisfied with a logo, especially one that'll be tagged to your own name, for a long time. Work on some more stuff, totally different variations. But never think, "this is it." After a while, one of them will reach out to you.
