Scrubs is a one of kind series out there.
It amazes me how different it can be, and that in one minute, it makes you laugh out loud, and can make you cry.
Because in every episode, i feel that there is a lesson I learned, about life in general. Most of the time, perry nails it right on. But sometimes, you see his real side.- srsly?kelpie

My friends got me a book over the holidays, and I recently received it. Turns out there was a sticker covering a part of the cover. There was a naked, buff man underneath there. They are now apologizing profusely. I, of course, don't mind, but I would never get too excited about it. I don't have much time to read at the moment, but I will let you guys know how it goes...

ok, maybe, I'm just a fan. :p
look at this:
"I thank Bill Lawrence with all my heart and soul for creating "Scrubs." Never before have I become so invested in characters that I actually cry when something happens to them. Well, not since Buffy, at least..."saw it on imdb

I loved Scrubs when it was whacky and off the tracks at the beginning. Utterly surreal and histerically funny, always taking me by surprise with something that would make me laugh out loud. Then, inevitably, the characters and their inter-relationships developed into a plausible set-up and the plots thickened.
Now its just Friends in a hospital.
Same thing happened to Moonlighting as I recall. From surreal to gruelling in three seasons.

Hmm..."Buffy" actually changed and influenced other TV shows though. The musical episode was the best musical episode of any show (most of them suck), and I think "Scrubs" had the second best (according to others). This isn't that important to most people, but I know this stuff because I studied some of it in uni.

i actually like Scrubs too. Mostly for the random asides and ridiculousness. There was one episode where 2 people sing "Talk Dirty to Me" by Poison, acapella, to a patient. Who thinks to put stuff like that into a show. It's this randomness that i like. The serious parts of the episode can be a bit preachy and self-righteous, but overall, it's a good show.

i liked scrubs too. haven't seen it in a while though.
used to watch the reruns on comedy central.
i generally dislike all tv programming so it's rare i watch anything anymore

24 is shit.
I watched the first series back to back in one continuous 24 hour sitting. It totally falls down when you see it like that. Jack Bauer will be doing one thinbg in one place at the end of one episode and then at the start of the next he'll be fucking thousands of miles away doing something else. You only realise when you see it running seamlessly how utterly implausible it all actually is.
Plus... his fucking daughter became an agent? just like that?
America is clearly in safe hands if that's the recruitment process.
GET REAL! GET A BRANES!

OMG. I feel the same way about cereal boxes.

personally, its Columbo that's influenced and guided me most in my life I think; teaching me never to take the world at face value, to see beyond the obvious and find my own path, to keep some things to myself while others reveal too much, and the value of impecable timing, and raincoats.
