OK. I wasn't counting half-brothers -sisters. My mother had a son before she married my Dad. I've met him, but don't have contact. I am 1 of 5 from my parents. Then my Dad re married and had a son and daughter. Then his second wife had another son to some dude, my Dad has kind of adopted him. So that's 8 or 9, depending.

No valentine here. NO
- Horp0
^ Ah, Valentines. I have a little bundle of presents at the door for each of my girls and a tiny home made card for each of them too. I can't wait for the morning when they find them... I get to have Saturday lie-ins because I get up and do breakfast during the week... so I'll lie in bed and wait for the squeals of excitement when they find them.

When I was 17 and driving my first car, I was clipped on the driver's rear corner doing about 45mph across a junction. Its amazign the forces that come into play. The car suddenly began rotating to the right but still moving in the same direction. I instinctively counter-steered - a mistake, I later learned - and then clipped a kerb on the passenger side. This sent the car into a violent roll. I sat there helpless as cassette tapes floated free of my carry case and bobbed about in front of me like it was a zero gravity environment. Out of the window it was sunny, then tarmac, then sunny, then tarmac... then glass particles lit up and danced about in front of me and I heard this incredible roaring rasping noise. Again and again the road punded at the aperture of my windsheild, trying to climb into the car, and between each pounding the sun shone. Over and over and I was dragged by some force out of the side window, the glass of which had quietly vanished.
I rolled over more whilst hanging out of the driver's side window and eventually I was wrenched free of the car. At that point I was sure I had been ripped free from my pelvis and legs but as I tried to look for my legs in a mid air corkscrew the road came up and punched me in the side of the face, breaking my cheek bone, my cranium, my shoulder, my upper arm.. and then I bounced, rolled, bounced, rolled... forces so great I was literally unable to activate a single effective muscle in defense. I just went. I obeyed the madness of inertia.
I hit the kerb and flipped up. I have o idea how high but I remember looking down onto car roofs, so my guess has always been 20-30 feet. Spinning madly, I flew over a wall, bounced again on on grass bank, still wondering about my legs, I travelled through the air backwards now but spinning and slammed sideways into the wall of a house which immediately put my into a violent counter spin. I was smashed up but the forces are so great I was still going very fast and moving very powerfully.
I smashed through a glass bus stop, skidded along a different road, hit a motorcyclist, flipped up, over a wall, off the edge of a flyover, onto the roadway beneath, off that, onto some tennis courts, off a doctor's racket, through the club house patio doors, into the changing rooms, out through the partition wall, across their front lawn, past the shops, down a small driveway, over a hedge, onto some railway tracks where Ibounced off a frieght train and over another wall into a garden where a small family were having some work done on the back of the property. I finally came to rest in a giant plastic bucket full of builder's filler.
I was bandaged up and treated to some sandwiches, and then the man very kindly took me back to the scene of the car crash, which was fifteen miles away.

I am making great progress helping my old best friend from school remember. It’s all coming back to him. It’s good to finally have someone to share these memories with, as it is all still like it happened yesterday for me. I have an extraordinary memory for people and places, I sometimes feel like I’ve been in a coma, except I have this level of detail in my memories from every period of my life since I was 3.
- Seriously? (about your friend)NotByHand
- I have great memory too, but can't remember much before the age of 10-ish. Probably the glasses issue, hahahajuhls
- Can you expand on that? I think I know, though.MrOneHundred
- are you planting false memories i your friend's brain?********
- MrOneHundred0
Yes. I posted last week that I had finally tracked down my best friend (though I had a few best friends) from high school after 4 years of searching. He recognised my photo and said my name was familiar, but had no further recollection of me at all.
- I have begun correspondence and re-telling of japes and hi-jinx, girls and bands. The door is opening.MrOneHundred
