Reminds me of one time on Facebook when someone called my wife a socialist cunt for supporting Bernie Sanders, then when I researched him before I let him have it I found his GoFundMe asking for money because he couldn't work because he got hit by a black widow spider

I just threw the third rat (this one was huge!) that the stray cats brought to my garden as a gift into the river...

They weren't supposed to hunt rats and only scare them away...

Dearest creatives. I've got a after effects video/file for a major client that needs translating into 32 different languages - text and voice over. Is there a AI platform than can make this easier? I actually think the translations have been done already, but the voice over bit is gonna be a right job.

Any help/suggestions would be amazing x

Jesus christ I’m at a punk rock show. Feeling real angsty and 15 right now.

From another life, an old music client of mine was in town. Once more of a folk singer, hes in a punk rock band and a sold out show in LA. But i haven’t been in attendance for anything considered punk rock in 25 years, which makes me feel incredibly old.

    • You ARE old... Now GO HAVE FUN!!

In a couple of hours I'm meeting my sisters and we're going to have a meal (it can't be any other way in a Basque family) for my father's 80th birthday.

Time flies and now we rarely see each other, which is why the aging of my entire family (including me) is more evident from year to year.

It's sad, but the meetings are getting faster and faster, we are all very busy, we have our lives, everything is more important than these moments in which we briefly get together, bla, bla, bla...

    Time kills, but rush finishes.

Take care of your loved ones, nice weekend!

I got laid off this morning, after 16 years at the firm, building an in house agency and leveling up the whole team. Such a cold ending to this part of my career.

Just been in a pre-prod call where the following exchange occurred.

Person A: I'm afraid we still haven't received the product for the shoot.
Person B: You have. Get your house in order, bitch.
Person A: Oh. I suggest you check your tracking, cunt.

Not only was there audible snorts and chuckles, two folk left the call immediately.

One of those people is wrong. I'm looking forward to the next few hours.

    • Damn. “A” has a lot of faith in the tracking number system.

    U P D A T E to the post below
    --------------------------------...

You couldn’t make this shit up.

Me not giving a flying fuck about office politics, client shenanigans and bullshit drama meant I have been entirely ignorant of, well....

Person A ended a reasonably long term relationship with their partner the previous evening. The partner was devastated. Cue rivers of tears, screaming and shouting. The police were called by a neighbour. No blood was spilt but ego’s are in intensive care.

Person B is a very good friend of the person who was dumped and their ‘loyalty’ manifested itself in the Teams call.

Our HR and our client’s HR have been involved and decided that both parties should take a breath and act professionally as further outbursts will be met with ‘action’.

I’m betting this isn’t over. The shoot starts Monday.

Yesterday we finished saying goodbye to a great friend who died last June.

It was a fantastic tribute, with musicians and artists and friends of all kinds remembering his contribution to our culture, global peace and the fight for the environment.

Of course, we ended up eating a good barbecue, washed down with cider and wine. This is how you have to say goodbye to friends!

This is a press release for an event I am contributing to in early November.

In 2011Shane Quentin invited Graham Dowdall aka GAGARIN to play a live set for my Garden Of Earthly Delights radio show. Described on tunein.com, the Garden Of Earthly Delights "offers you a healthy dose of scratchy muffins, exclusive sessions, mixes and unpopular music."
Shane Quentin has built up a huge following and immense reputation over the past 30+ years. Best described as the underground John Peel. Those that need to know, know.
So it is with great pleasure & excitement that I can announce that Shane has produced an exclusive mix for Graham which will be premiered at the two 'In memory of Gagarin' events, next month.

London - Friday 1st November @ Walthamstow Trades Hall
    https://www.facebook.com/events/…

Margate - Saturday 2nd November @ Margate Arts Club
    https://www.facebook.com/events/…

"I had the pleasure of knowing Graham for many years and broadcasting an exclusive session with him on The Garden of Earthly Delights radio show, and I am honoured to be contributing an hour long mix for this event." - Shane Quentin

Graham was a brilliant musician, live performer, and community music practitioner. He was an original member of Ludus, played with John Cale, performed and wrote with Nico throughout the 1980s until her untimely death; and as well as his solo career, was a member of Pere Ubu from 2007. He died of cancer aged 69, earlier this year.
