my boss is so crazy irresponsible. he doesn't write down tasks, update his calendar, takes 2-hour boozy lunches on the company credit card. yesterday he couldn't remember what his email address was.

The same person cut my hair for 14 years, starting in 2001. It was a regular chain place, I was almost always pretty satisfied.
Had a couple haircuts that were bad last September, and also felt like I caught some shade from him when I commented about how I'd never let my kid go to public school in Chicago (they're horrible). I'd been contemplating going to a proper barber and started going to one in September. Great haircuts and beard trims and conversations ever since. But it's been bothering me off and on that I cut ties overnight with the previous person. We weren't friends but had that friendship you have with someone like that for that length of time. I keep wondering if maybe he thinks something bad happened to me or my family. I didn't say goodbye, I didn't complain, I just stopped going. He was a pretty nice guy, but I just wanted a change. Should I have done a proper break-up and told him I was going somewhere new?
