I got bit by a spider on my arm, doesn't hurt, itch or anything, but its leaking clear puss and when I clean it I can see the 2 big ass bite marks!
So weird, I've never seen that before. Usually its just a red itchy bump and I can't see the two holes.
The spider treaty of my apartment has been broken, spiders will no longer be given the opportunity to leave the interior of my place with their lives. All spiders will be killed at first sight.
May god help us all in the wars to come.

My mom is visiting and I love her and love having her here, but she spends most of her time browsing Facebook and watching random videos and making sure she tells me about whatever it is: "here's a guy who hair with a blowtorch." "Here's a little puppy barking." "Ooh Nutella ice cream" "can you believe Greg [a childhood friend I haven't seen in 28 years] looks like this now??" Yeah I can definitely believe that someone I last saw as a 12 year old looks different now that they are in their late 30s. I can definitely believe that he gained weight, had the ability to grow a beard, grew in height, and aged no differently than other humans.

Heading off to the Stockholm Fotomaraton - 24 pictures in 24 hours in and around the town and beyond if you so please. This is the third year it has been running and my third time taking part, after the last one was back in the 90's. Each time the attendance has grown and become more popular - all sorts of people join in, young, old, parents with kids, which is great to see. First year a guy turned up with a goddam travel case on wheels full of kit but fair play to the fucker, he made it to the finish.
As before I am travelling light - only my X-T1 and this year with my 35mm lens just so I have to work for the shots a bit more and look for the detail. The 18/55 can stay at home.
It's a great way to see the city at different times of the day as every check-in station is normally at opposite ends to each other on the map, giving you a chance to travel and explore.
I have loaded my phone with punk rock and bought a load of sweeties. 24 hours is a long time.

Brief update:
About half way through, 12 images done another 12 to go. Going really well so far - some sticky moments trying to think of something original when it comes to the themes, but I think i'm over that hump and can immediately think of ideas/locations for new shots and plan out my route to the next check-in. Good thing I know this town as well as I do.
Lots of camera penis waving, guys just dripping with massive Canons and Nikons and glass the size of trees.
Thanks to the life-giving properties of hardcore punk rock and jelly snakes i'm breezing through this like a fucking boss.

best answer to getting paid in exposure..
I think I've figured out a decent response to the "do it for Exposure" BS that people tell artists. I'm going to ask what your "Exposure Package" entails because this is business. If you are essentially offering to do marketing for me, I need to know what marketing package I'm getting. I need numbers, market research, cold hard facts and a damn good strategy (I have a business degree so you can't just feed me a line). If you want to give me exposure, that's fine, just know that you better be serious about it. Oh and you'll need to sign the contract so I can make sure you do follow through. If you'd rather not go through all of that, because, let me tell you, it's a big commitment on your part, you could just PAY ME what I'm worth instead and save us both the hassle.
Artist friends, please, don't allow people to take advantage of you and don't perpetuate the culture that makes it OK for people to give us the 'exposure' line. It's not OK for creatives to be treated as a joke, not paid what they're worth and for the 'starving artist' stereotype to be constantly perpetuated. That's why so many people don't want to be artists, it's just too much of a hassle.
