was listening to a local talk radio show on NPR last week and they were discussing ways to get rid of moles and voles in your yard (and i do). One tip was to bait a mouse trap with peanut butter, place it near a visable hole and then cover with an upside down bucket.
it works! I've killed 2 of those little bastards so far. On the show they said if you get one you can expect to get dozens. The carnage will continue.

Moles apparently swim upside down through their tunnels so they can eat the grubs by reaching up as they pass them.

moles swim underground?
life is ever more confusing.

i think technically i have voles. i killed the 2 on 2 seperate occasions using single mouse trap under a small bucket. I've now expanded my killing field to 5 traps under an upside down recycling bin. My yard is a target rich enviroment.

Things are not going too well. It's all fucked no matter what option I choose.
