Interesting observation Lou,
Similar to the fact that Virtu can't distinguish intolerance from people simply disagreeing with him.
- virtu0
are you agreeing with me loudubs?
- Mimio0
lol

well, virtu has to do somethings for himself. he needs to seek knowledge. Just to mention, this election isn't really about John Kerry or George Bush. THis is about the future of America....the way that, yes, Kerry sees it, but also the way that John Edwards sees it...what he can learn from Kerry and what Kerry can learn from him. It's also about the role of women in this country...why are so ma ny people afraid of a wealthy, vibrant, intelligent woman like Teresa Heinz-Kerry. She's going to be a welcome change from the long line of invisible Burqa wearing corpses. It's about the culture of who inhabits the White House and who they listen to, who they work with, the tone they set, the energy they supply.

virtu, that swiftvets campaign was paid for by the largest republican political contributor in Texas. so don't come thru here getting all o 'reilly on people before you have your facts straight.
- virtu0
ok?
i suppose that since this circle jerk you guys started has come to the concensus that i am somehow ill informed, i guess i am. Next time i wish to know how i think about something, i will just write one you you guys and just let you tell me. Because, obviously you have everything figured out and there is no need for independent thought.thank you for setting me straight.
- mrdobolina0
well virtu, you were incorrect about the financing of the swiftvets campaign and I corrected you... I guess I should have just let you continue to communicate uninformed things.
- virtu0
HAH!!!!! get a fuckin clue. just because a republican funded it, doesnt make me wrong. please please explain to me how i was incorrect in my statements.
and another thing. if you are going to try and pin me as a republican talkshow host, atleast pick a true republican. oreilly is a fuckin independant that bags on bush just as much as he does kerry. atleast call me sean hannity or something. drop the name calling mantra unless you can get it right.

you said that swiftvets was non-partisan. and that is a ridiculous statement, when it is funded by the same people who bashed mccain's military service in the 2000 gop primary. You were probably about 16 years old when that happened, so I dont expect you to know what I am talking about.
Also, what I meant about o'reilly was that you are doing exactly the same thing as you blame other people of doing (telling people what to think). Then acting like you are being unfairly treated afterwards.
- JazX0
get down on it
- mrdobolina0
that is a great song by kool and the gang, btw.
- Chickenhands0
Your'e right Jazx.
Unfortunately a large percentage of people are all to easily misled by most of the crap spun out by both sides.
It's unfortunate that at the end of the day alot of people make their choices based on trivial personal attacks on political candidates.
Thats why that video is such a piece of crap, there is not one piece of factual information there, just slur and absolutely no reference to policies.

it's classic how a civil debate seems to always degenerate into "circle-jerks" and "you idiots!"
just come with the facts-we'll listen to facts

the way you guys agressively attack virtu is perplexing to me.
there are lots of political discussions on other design forums, but NT really does take the cake with regards to polarization. its like 20% conservative and 80% liberal here...isn't anyone allowed a different opinion??
- Chickenhands0
I think it has to do with the fact that as a rule, creatives tend to lean on the side of liberalism.

yea. i 've always enjoyed a good political or ideological banter, but at this point i just post silly comments since i know there's not even the slightest opportunity for discourse.
iss aight...lots of other good stuff on NT, and these are still fun to read
- unfittoprint0
20% conservative?
20% too many.
