it seems like a lot of people assume that when someone is depressed enough to consider suicide it always has something to do with external circumstances-- many, many people with outwadly enviable positions in life have considered or actually committed suicide-- one's own mind can become a hell, and the way out is not always so simple to find. It might take as much courage for one person to get up in the morning as for another to risk his life on a mountain. For someone in this state, the idea of "stoipping feeling sorry for yourself" or listening to a cheerful piece of music, eating ice cream or wanking off to cheer up doesn't have the same meaning it does for someone not in that state, i.e. you

i had troubles for a long time.
i'm a far road from there now and would never have even hoped for a life as good as the one i have.
when i think about it i'm shocked as to what i almost threw away.
please be cool.

read some more of this thread ... and really.. go to therapy. dont have insurance? not an excuse! go to the free health clinic and they will point you in the direction of therapists that do volunteer work. they can even give you free anidepressants. i have a friend that hasnt has severe depression and anxiety problems and yet she is able to take care of herself without insurance just fine.
go to therapy! if your not on meds and should be... or just changed meds.. .you need to call your dr. asap, eh.

my cousin killed himself while talking to his mom on the phone and then she hung herself afterwords because she just broke down.
if you ever killed yourself you'd have to die knowning your death could drive your mother to take her own life. you dont want that do you?
therapy!

dude,
seek help when you feel up to it. just know that there are professionals who can really help you out.
meantime avoid heavy drinking, newspapers and PUBLIC ADVICE. even mine.
regrets must die, not you. change your mind when the clouds come; do things with your hands.
one thing i can tell you.
IT IS COMMON
IT GOES AWAY
and it's not like christmas.
there is no gift in the end.
lol.
but it's amazing ;)

Ten years my oldest brother killed himself. It was a complete nightmare and our family, especially my parents have never been the same. No matter how bad things may seem suicide is never the answer. You may think it will solve your problems but just think of the pain and despair you'll leave behind!!

thanks for the advice friends.....

oh and if you seek therapy, give EMDR a shot...it might work for you.
almost cured a life-long phobia with 3 sessions, and works well for depression, post traumatic stress etc.
can't wait to finish treatment.

hey you said it is always been a problem..it reminds me of the condtion my brother has..due to a lock of seratonine in his mind(the fluid that transmits impulses) he's feelings get disturbed, for instance if he cant find his car keys his brain interprets it like he will die..
it has caused major problems but now het is on medication and the fear and angzioty(dont now how to spell it) are gone...
its not anti depressiva its somthing that balances the seratonine..
what i am trying to say is...sometimes these problems are not of a psychic nature but a result of a chemical or fysical process..i am not saying go on drugs bit contact you doctor..there are some simple tests of findig out its that..
good save you a lot of pain and struggle..
take care man.we all care.
PS.its a common problem, unluckily some people have it worse than others.
if you want more info, feel free to contact me.

oh my..
i've been there.
i can only say that Rand is saying very very wise and true words..
it's weird and i am for 110% sure you will not believe what i say, but better times WILL come, it will force itself upon you just like a depression can. it's sort of the weird way of the mind...
in the meantime..
hug yourself, make yourself loved by yourself.. in the end one of the best therapies to regain self-confidence.. also try to talk with people.
sometimes it might help to completely ignore people that were a bad influence and focus on (either old or new) companions that can inspire you to look at life from a different perspective.
..without despair
...without jealousy
...without self-hatred
...without angerit is possible, even in this life... believe me.. because i have been there A to Z..
..and still learning...
but confident this time.
goodluck my friend.
