Hey all,
I thought that i would share a super simple blog script that i made this week.I made it for a friend of mine and i figured that there are some of us that might like it too.
It allows file upload, title, and blog entry. IT time and date stamps the entries and automatically paginates at intervals that you set.
it is just 4 total files. 3 php, and 1 css.

In the past- for really simple sites I have use this CGI blog

OK guys,
after a little testing, i realized that there were a couple of improvments that needed to be made.
I fixed the SQL CREATE TABLE statement, and moved all of the settings to a single PHP file.
Please download it and let me knwo what you think.TR1

its my first venture into mysql and after
I spent a day with it only to find out you had bad code
maybe
you're not telling us about some other stuff?a working example would be a nice start.

heavyt, i'm having a few issues getting this running:
http://nathan-adams.net/blog.php…(messandnoise own the dedicated server by the way, and space is sublet to my site)
i guess the two bits that have me confused are DB_HOST
[define ('DB_HOST', 'nathan-adams.net');
- Nathan_Adams0
does anybody else have any idea what the problem might be?
- vburo0
i guess you need to set the database youself. Give it a name etc. You can usually do that via your hosts control panel.
nice, heavyt!
a search engine would be sweet, but keep it simple for the rest. It's how i like it best.

yeah, I set up a database via Plesk's control panel. named 'nathanblog', with a user 'nathanadams', plus a password.
(should I see anything about this database in my ftp tree anywhere?)
the details I set for sqlStrings.php were:
-----------------------------
define ('DB_USER', 'nathanadams');
define ('DB_PASSWORD', '******');
define ('DB_HOST', 'nathan-adams.net');
define ('DB_NAME', 'nathanblog');
