the images wont go, still get a command error.
"Comment added
The file could not be moved."
its not ftp permissons. what can it be? my server/host ?
- heavyt0
there are a couple of reasons that it wouldnt work.
1. you dont have a file in the same dir as blog.php named "blogImages"2. that file exists, but permissions arent set to 755
3. you changed the name of the form, or one of its inputs in the html
4. you changed the name of that column in your db.
that is all that i can think of for now.

The file could not be moved."
BUT the post is updated...

dear all,
By request, i would like to get back to makign the super simple CMS script.
I am not sure how simple it should be.
Can you guys tell me what features you would like to have in a CMS tool?thanks,

blog or cms? I mean I have seen a lot of sites using blog stuff as corporate type cms's....
I think blog would be one pg with archive .....and cms would be to manage multiple pages....
- jpea0
hmm.. if you're speaking of a small CMS, maybe an admin sort of site that gives the ability to read an XML file on the server and edit it (like a 'change', 'remove', 'add' ability)
just a thought:)
rockin' blog though:)
- heavyt0
ok, thanks.
I was originally thinking of it as a tool to share files with clients. I guess like an extranet. Also, I suppose clients could upload files for you to it.
Any thoughts? Ideas?
I dotn really need for myself at this time, but i know that others, like kerus, were talkign about it a while back.

TR1, thanks for this tool. I'm going to (try) to implement it on my MT site. We'll see how it goes - I have no MySQL experience.

ht, any news on that error (comment added but img could not upload)- a fix maybe?
- heavyt0
peteski,
that shoudl be fixed in the version on my site now.
Before, it would say that the image could not be moved if you didnt upload an image. Now, it shoudl check to see if you even added an image, and if not, it doesnt try to move it.
Either way, before it would post the blog entry.
I suspect that if you downloaded the 1.3 version and are still having issues, you probably have a permissions problem or naming problem with your blogImages directory. Thanks,

thanx for lurkin, will try it again.

to all,
i realize that there was an issue with image uploading in v1.3 of teh super simple blog script.
well, i just uploaded v1.3.1 to correct it. It only effects "blog.php", if you want to do a simple update.
thanks,

Pah! I tried to install this thing and done all the database configs etc okay, but the image upload wouldn't work...
- rabattski0
dito. everything works fine except image upload.
so entries can only be beleted thru mysql?
- PixelDrama0
just a suggestions, and i know this thread is old but... Why make the user Create the folder for the blog images.. Make the script check if its there, and if not create it... Its a simple IF Statement wrapped around a mkdir......
Oh and by the way... i havnt looked at this code but, If the code is using a GDLibrary for image manipulation or any other kind of image manip module, those need to be installed onto the server or it wont work.

the link has expired.
would be interested in seeing this .... anyone got it elsewhere?

sorry, havin DNS issues today.
FYI - it doesnt use GDLIb, and i have had issues with mkdir in that some servers will only allow 700 permissions on a dir created that way.
