I have a big brick for an mp3 player.
it's the Zen extra by creativehttp://www.creative.com/products…
I'have had it for a year and it's worked great. no regrets so far.

Thanks for making this thread! I was about to do it myself, because I'm planning on buying a new one really soon. My old one has served me well, but can only hold an embarrassing amount of songs (I bought it like 4 years ago, when iPod weren't even out).

well I'm lost! My choices, in no order are, zen micro [sensible choice], asono [designers choice], ipod [expensive choice] or mobiblu cube [fun choice] who knows. If someone can tell me why a particular model is good, convincingly, I'm likely to buy it!

anyone know if that Cube from Walmart is available in Canada? the Canadian Walmart site is pretty crappy; only has a flyer.

i think you can get it...im in the uk so everything is really expensive here, eg cube is around £120 or $260!!!

Yeah, I pretty much add about 40 bucks to all the US prices. Maybe more or less...depends.

i'd go for the zen micro.
I say this coz I have used this brand and am very satisfied with them. Their software is also pretty use to use.My last choice would be the ipod. I hear more people complaining about the ipod than about any other brand.
Plus they are over priced and over rated.the other thing to consider is the battery life and a replacement. For what i hear you cant just go out and buy a new battery for your ipod. You have to send it to apple and pay $$ to get the battery replaced.
With Creative you could simply go to radio shack and get a new battery for like 30 or 40 bucks or something and replace it yourself.I have never owned an ipod so i might be wrong about the battery. I base my ideas on what people tell mad and what I see.

yeah, i think people feel like they are buying in to something with ipod, maybe the micro is the winner!

what's wrong with me today? I can't type. I hope it's the keyboard and not me.

nahh mene ither

I'm not getting an iPod, for the very fact that they are overpriced. The video iPod is probably worth the $500 it is here in Canada, but the normal iPod should be less than $300.

omg, this one has up to 70 hours continuous playback:
- craigatkinson0
yeah, dont like that though, dont like sony really!
- Jaline0
BUT, it's
70
hours
!!!!!!!!
I don't mind Sony, but I have narrowed my list down to a few players. Should be interesting.

zen micro for me i think!
