what would be your ideal situation.
wife? kids? location? ride? etc... all the good stuff.
and i'm not talking "if i won the lottery". a realistic type situation, hell you might already be there, but i'm just curious.

the only thing i would like to change right now...
my finace' fell in love with a certain reception hall. it's magnificent. the only problem is they dont accept credit cards. we'll have to pay in cash.
who has 12 grand in cash for wedding? i put 2 down and now am forced to freelance my arse off to help pay for it.
i really would rather them take a credit card. would really help out my stress level right now.
i may have to sell my car to pay for the wedding.
2005 300c with less than 9000 miles on it. :(

omg, 12k for a hall!?
we had a TINY wedding which was under 1k, but that's definitely not for everyone.
play the lotto or go to vegas!

kona - get married on a mountain top with 2 of your best friends and then have a reception a month later.
worked great for us!

I don't really get the idea of paying a huge amount for a wedding or marriage itself for that matter.
I knew people that had 60K in student loans and spent 15K on a wedding. Waste of money imo. What is the point? To make the women feel like some sort of princess for a day?
No offense. I'm just putting that out there.

"I saw her first"!!

oh god no not 12k. i was saying for like a normal wedding there it's 12k. or, their rooms are for 200 people. at 55 a plate that's a lot of money!
we got a deal for having the wedding on a friday. 15% off.
ours is more like 9 grand but still. who has that?!?
i spent the last year and a half paying off all my credit card debt, i haven't gone shopping for myself in literally a year all so i could put the wedding on my credit cards. now i have a grand in credit card debt and have to pay for a wedding in cash. fuck. if i had known i would have kept my CASH!
im so frustrated.

sorry for the hijack btw.
my ideal would be to make a very comfortable living creating and selling art. i love my location and my wife - both perfect. i could use a better relationship with my in-laws but you specified no "win the lottery" type answers.

kOna
(Nov 22 05, 13:46)that could actually be quite lovely.
- -sputnik-0
wow kOna...that's rough.
gruntt's right, we hijacked! my idea right now would be for my better half to get a job he is happier with. i hate seeing him stressed out.
i'd love more time to work on our house, and i want another dog to keep my little guy company. he's turning 7 this year and deserves a good buddy to sniff around the yard with.
- arinya0
k0na, some advice....don't get in debt or kill yourself over a wedding hall.
- brooke0
It would be ideal if I could stay.
- -sputnik-0
stay, brooke?

I would like to work for myself one day and also have enough money to help out my family more, travel, improve my house and also get a place in the city apart from my immediate family to be closer to were the jobs are and have a quiet place to relax and work. More time for art and to feel free during the day.
- arinya0
*sigh* crazy women! I'm glad my wife is a reasonable woman we spent 10k on our wedding but that included our honeymoon and furniture for our casa. ikea fo life!

I'm holding out on marriage until my girlfriend and I can afford to get married in space. I want us to be the first couple to get married on a commercial space tourism flight.
Far from ideal situation...but a damn good idea.

good lord kona, thats ruff. we are having trouble finding a local as well.
but to answer the thread, i would like to own a home rather then rent, other then that i am good.
