oh, and a new motorcycle. A 2006 Kawasaki ZX-6R would be nice.

Haha, my wedding was under $100. My grandma bought a small cake and gave a $50 tip to the preacher. We didn't have a reception though.

well. i only plan on doing it once so i want to do it right.
besides. i'm hoping to get some of that money back after the wedding.
my sister got almost 15k in money and gifts. i almost asked my girl to marry me the next day just for the money.
ok. that was a joke. but they did get a shitload of money like that. is that normal?!?

Owning a home isn't all it's cracked up to be. I have been pretty stressed over it. If I was still renting I would be loaded right now.

Oh yeah I forgot about all the shit you get in return at a big wedding.

Honest reply:
My ideal situation...I'm fairly close to it. Doing things I went to school for, continuing to learn new skills, doing some design work, basically being a jack of all trades over many projects and responsibilities in my job. I'm in a spot where my contributions cover a range of things that might require more people.
I have as much focus on content development and content writing as I do on the other parts, perhaps more. That's rewarding in alot of ways. But my ideal thing...I wish I went home and did more artwork, stuff I'd have for my portfolio, things I could sell, show in galleries, etc. The ideas are there, it's just the follow-through that rarely happens.
But seeing sites like that ISO50 are truly inspiring, make me want to go home and actually do those things.

Yeah I hope so. I'm just stressing about it. I am paying more in interest now than I used tp pay in rent + taxes and PMI on top of that. Now I need new windows, etc, etc, etc.
Then the area I'm in is so spread out and with traffic it seems like there is never really an ideal location especially in an industry where you change jobs fairly regularly. I feel like I am really stuck in one place now.

i am not getting married anytime soon, so don't have to worry about that.
i've been saving and investing a lot. so when i need it, i'll have it.
i am pretty comfortable with where i live. i want to buy a place soon. but it's so damn expensive here. if things can progress with the girl i am seeing, that'll be great. over all, i am heading to somewhat good direction.
it'll take time. patience.

Personally, what i love about renting is the fact that i don't have to worry about any building maintainence. If the water heater goes out, it's my landlord's problem...
- grayhood0
good point QA, i guess all the rent is paying to put the stress on someone else.
- grayhood0
... also i would like to be a more acomplished musician, which i am working on, slowly.

Living under someone elses rules sucks as an adult though. My landlord wasn't too happy when I bought a German Shepherd. I got fed up with renting too especially after not getting my deposit back.

k0na you have to get married in a corn field me and a girl made the beast with two backs in a field :D she pure rode me like a bucking bronco, good times man good times.

hahaha@chossy!
seed. when the day comes you're selling your house for somethign bigger and better, and you see the check you'll get you'll thank yourself for buying.

but to answer the thread, i would like to own a home rather then rent, other then that i am good.

by saving on a wedding we didn't really want, we were able to buy a nice house in a great neighbourhood...it really opened up our options.
i would love for certain things to fall into place over the next few months, so that we can start our family in the springtime :)

True, but there are three vacancies in my apartment building...so my landlord is desperate to keep the tenents he has left. I think could start breeding cats in my apartment, and get away with it.

umm i just made about 45 g's in three years by investing in a house, not fixing it up, virtually putting nothing down towards the principle when i bought, and throwing lots of kick ass bbq's and partys. small yard, was very easy to maintain. couple minor problems but no "water heater through the dinning room ceiling" incendents.
