hello, I'm not trying to suggest anything patronising here or anything, but when I was in Uni I also suffered really really badly from chronic insomnia. soon as I got a job it all started to work itself out. You may need a more regular routine, less up all night creative sessions at the mac etc, more early starts. just a thought. good luck, it's horrible innit?

you could smoke some decent weed
- kelpie0
you could, but I wouldn't advice it as a cure, believe me it does more harm than good to your sleep pattern, even if it helps a few times...
- lowimpakt0
i was joking about the weed
When I couldn't sleep but had important meetings and stuff the next day I used to to use valerian and hops
http://www.bioforceshop.co.uk/pr…some people find it too strong and apparently you should be careful if you are using it with medication for depression etc. !!! I only found this out after recommending it to someone in work that suffers from depression :) doh

smoke a load of weed and you should be out like a light

I strongly recommend you don't go out tonite, give your heart a break and rest.

I go throught phases of insomnia. It's just as bad now as it was at uni. The main difference being that I can't bunk off work to catch up on my sleep.

Well, living my new life as an interweb nerd, my sleeping pattern is right up shit creek. I can't go to bed before 2am and my alarm goes off at 7:30am. Then at the weekends if I'm not out on the lash I stay up all night and go to bed on Satuday/Sunday morning (sometimes 6-8am), sleep until 2-3pm then at night I go back to bed on Sunday night at 2am.
Sorry NT, I've been cheating on you. With several different sites. It's not that I don't love you, it's just they're all, well, different. And they want to have my babies, so I can't leave them, you'll just have to adapt.

i'm the same. Can't get to slep at nights which means I'm wrecked when I get up again.
Find it hard to keep a good nights sleep and regular pattern going. May I ask fellow NT'ers, what do you do to wind down before going to sleep as I'm always restless from 9pm onwards.
I'd love to get to sleep from 11, 12pm to 7, 8am every weeknight but find it impossible, HELP!!!

has to be said, know-it-all pontification aside, for the last few weeks I've been getting this a bit again too. Working on it though, I got a good nights sleep last night. Fresh a fucking daisy the day, like, sure you're all really really happy for me ;)

5timmers, shall I do the honours?
You fucking masturbate like a furious horny monkey, man, what else do you reckon could ever work so well?!?!

It's fucking computers. I'm sure. Weed is a bad idea, in the long term it will make things worse. One of the only things that would ever work for me, and even then not very often, was try sleeping flat on your back and don't move. At all. Fight the urge to roll over. It's difficult but it can work.

come on people - treat the bishop right, and he'll pay you back. oooh sleeeeeepy ;)
