Thanks, chz. i'm always meaning to add more images in there (i have lots) but it takes a long time to upload and select keywords for each one. that coupled with the fact that each image may only get 2 downloads a month kind of kills my motivation.
I just may have to start getting back into it based on what you said though. thanks.

personal training; used to also be modeling, acting, and bartending... but the money was too good and I felt guilty...
JK... but those did used to be my side hustles...

Keep your chin up nocomply... I used to feel the same way but when the money started to add up more and more that became my incentive to build up my portfolio.

what's the cut per image on Istock(range)

i have about 500-800 architectual photos all over Europe shot with my good old Nikon.
Can i scan them and sell? I can probably do my own arch history book.

tk - I'd imagine your images would do pretty well, but its just all the time it would take to scan and upload them that would suck. better get yourself some slave labor.
also if they are seriously good shots, you may want to try somewhere besides istock. find an agent to pimp your work and they will get you mad royalties. that's what the real pros do i hear.
- chz0
Scan that shit tk!... but make sure they're good and crisp... also the bigger the file size the better.
Kyle, somehere on the istock site is a detailed royalty breakdown.

thanks chz I'll take a look

basically 20% then

yeah 1 thing i learned is you need to go high-res to make decent dough.
its not worth your time if you're only going to be uploading 3 or 4 megapixel images.

I make a decent amount of $ from http://coolosxapps.net
Properly between 150 and 250 bucks a month, not really counting, it just goes into my paypal and sit there till I can get myself a new Macbook or whatever.

tk, yes please, scan that shit!
or make a book out of it (via Apple?), i kid you not, i would gladly pay up for that sort of stuff.
it is my goal to do the same, i have barely started yet.
but i got tons of books and guides of places to go and see.

i will be picking it up again (meaning: intensifying my skills and dedication) and once i advertise this skill more i can earn well better then coding goddamn websites.
