As k0na pointed out, there are some major UX issues.
And I agree that it's silly to have to create a detailed profile just to read an article.

haha
ah good times.

It's also too big.

(Jun 30 06, 07:31)I mentioned that when I was looking over someone's shoulder a couple months ago, and the response was that most creatives have sufficiently large/hi-res monitors.
It is on the big side.

it's working

just to fuck with your head

that's a nice scroll bar at the bottom, any particular reason why?

hopefull those of you whov'e seen my previous work can tell this wasn't designed by yours truly...
In defense of our firm, this is strangely uncharacteristic of the work done in the past as well as other current work (mostly print and environmental). When I first saw the site I was sort of, well, perplexed to say the least...

I think these responses will be an eye-opener for those involved in this project.

they're asking for a lot of information just to read some articles and stuff

pass this info to your designer(s).
ask them if the site answers these 4 basic questions from a user standpoint when they first come ot the site.
what is this?
what do they have here?
what can i do here?
why should i be here - and not somewhere else?(the site doesn't)

Overall, I think if you change everything, it'll most likely get better :)

(Jun 30 06, 06:45)Heh. Yeah. I won't disagree. I'll pass along the comments to the people that designed the site.
cheers

well, lose the dreadful outer glow on things, make those rollover images a solid colour, like one from the nav bar. Ditch those buttons on the side, make ones that actually go with the rest of the site. lose the ticker-tape banner, if that info needs to be presented, use a more unique technique....
the nav bar at the bottom, seems a bit lost..
maybe use a different background colour, like something not black...

honestly, from a UX standpoint it's not well implemented.
the form fields are hard as fuck to find and break the norm of what people will be expecting and looking for. it took me a couple seconds to find the fild to type in as "First Name" at first looked like it could be selected and typed over, it can't. so then i had to guess and test as to where the form field was.
then, instead of searching for every box i hit the tab button and it shot me down to the company form, not the Last Name field as I was expecting.
if anything i'd turn that black background into the dark gray you have in the back, and turn the form fields black to help in functionality.
then, there is nothing driving me to fill in these boxes. why?
maybe explain 'the true you' and somewhat push the users to spend the time in filling out the information. or maybe tempt them with what the outcome might be, not just make us guess.
anyways, it's a good start... just needs a bit of refining.

I'm just the messenger. I do not condone glowing type, personally.

that site kind of scurs me.
