Has this been an on-going problem or was this the first sighting?

That's cool, especially with the little guy.
Makes me miss NC for a second, then I think of the heat and humidity!

(Jul 27 06, 13:00)it's not too bad here in the mountains. we don't even have AC. Whenever the heat gets to me I just go to Raleigh for the weekend... by the time I get back to Asheville the heat is laughable.
=)

that's pretty wild. did animal control people cature them?

that shit is amazing! I would have shit my pants and giggled with excitement at the same time if I saw that from my back yard.
All I ever see out here in my backyard is an occasional sun spider or scorpion... then there's a lot of mules and bighorn sheep up in the mountains.

Nice Grant. there are always deer in my backyard since we live in front of a forest. This old man feeds them in the wintertime, and I wonder what they'll do once he's gone...
- traut0
hehehe , thats too funny

there we a total of 3 cubs. A car came up the road, the cubs scooted up the tree you see on the right and the the momma followed up. I was grilling the yard at the time. it was surreal to be flipping chicken and checking over my should every few seconds to make sure the bear was still in the tree.

Did you think about putting on a red bandanna and filming a scene where you reflect on the heat emanating from their shit?

(Jul 27 06, 13:05)no, in fact animal control says if you see a bear don't call us, just stay out of it's way. If a bear becomes a nuisance they'll catch it and release it somewhere remote. If one attacks someone (happens very rarely) they'll try to track the bear and kill it.

it's more of a burgundy bandana.

That's crazy. I would definitely just stay inside my house for a while.
I remember when a big deer was running around the street when it should've been behind the wire fencing that separates the forest from the houses. Anyway, my mom was really afraid of driving near it, but we had to in order to get to where we were going. When we came back the deer wasn't there, so I have no clue what happened to it.

healthy grunttt :D this is cool man very cool, I hope they aren't dangerous in terms of human contact and eating babies and stuff, what a wonderful thing to see, I recommend you protect your women folk (wife) by totally beefing her loads and loads essentially to get your smell around her so the bears stay the fuck away :D
If I have stepped over that line I appologise.
