look at his responses here, vespa...
he admits he was wrong but still talks shit, what he is defending here baffles me, the right to be a lemming?

(Oct 13 06, 09:00)for sure vespa and of course. i don't remember saying that but i can honestly say it must have been some sort of a joke (i hope). i don't think i'd ever be serious with something like that. if i was i'm sorry.
i have nothing but respect for you vespa.
and to uncledobs i'm sorry. i overreacted. what's your excuse?

(Oct 13 06, 09:01)how about you go back and read my posts. i'm only defending myself against your immature attacks.
all of my posts in this thread said i had a problem with the numbers from the report, and the report itself... and i don't seem to be the only one in this thread, or the world who thinks that way, yet as you can see here, i'm the only one you singled out and took your shots at.
so, i'm defending myself.
can't you see this? honestly, what's wrong with you? why do you hate so much? i don't get it. you take everything i say WAY to seriously because you're the only person on NT who does this shit (the arguement here) on a daily basis, so you're really the only one who doesn't get it. why?
- mrdobolina0
I am honestly sorry for lots and lots of things I have said in the past and that I hopefully won't say in the future.
I just don't find joking about tragedies to be very funny and you do that a lot. It makes me sick.
I just wish people would have realized how high the stakes were when this shit started. We are going to have troops in that country until at least 2010 over inept leadership at least.
This is the most tragic event that has ever happened in my lifetime and I am sorry that I am so emotional about it. I just don't think people should die over poor leadership.

mrdobs loads of people got taken in by all that crap before the war. they were using the most complex propaganda known to man to convince everyone!
i've been thinking about the idea of change /forgiveness a lot as i'm doing a gig in wandsworth prison in a few weeks.
it's for prisoners on good behaviour, part of black history week.
i don't support crime AT ALL, but i do think that if people want to change, they shouldn't be forced to stay the way they used to be.
the guy who is organising it used to be in the national front, but something happened that made him change his mind and he ended up helping the police to infiltrate the NF. I've got a load of respect for someone like that who is prepared to admit they are wrong and do something to rectify the situation.
ever hear that proverb:
"No matter how far you've gone down the wrong road, turn back."
- vespa0
but yea you're totally right about how shit the situation is mrdobs. and it is fucking heartbreaking for all the people who were trying to stop the war before it started.
for all my talk of forgiveness, i hope bush and his cronies burn in hell.

Fine. Thank you. I'm not however the only one who makes jokes about tragedies on Newstoday, and if you want me to be completely honest, it would be better called 'making light of a situation'. Some people don't handle things as good as, or as bad as others. Making light of a situation is how some people cope. Yet you consider it something different.
Also... "I just don't think people should die over poor leadership." Me either. But I fully understand poor leadership isn't just found in the U.S. How many other countries do you read about on a daily basis suffering from the same 'poor leadership?'
I'd just like you to stop singling me out.
I'm going to end this conversation now as I don't want to fuck up the PVN for everyone else all day. I'm going to stop responding to you in this thread, and probably in every other thread. I'm going to be the bigger man. You can have the last word, which I'm sure you will but make it good cause I'm not going to respond.
Peace.

I can't help but wonder what would today be like in the world, especially the middle east, if we had kept our focus on Afghanistan and really turned it around.
- kyl30
how do fools like negroponte get to go to iraq and set up death squads. didn't he already go to prison for iran contra?
- mrdobolina0
eh whatever. I tried.

(Oct 13 06, 09:22)no i said i'm ending the conversation so it doesn't ruin the pvn or this thread anymore than it already has. didn't mean ever again... ever is a long time. that's like, forever or something.

They really need to set up some sort of viable economic system there and find a way to influence moral values for the better. I hardly think having the army kill people will solve everything by itself.

so close, yet so far!

Sorry, always feel compeled to add my 2 cencts to these Iraq war discussions. So the other day I was watching Bill Mahr and he had an Arabic guest that said. "Iraqis are listening to president Bush rationalize the war to the american public by saying "we have to fight the 'terrorists' over there." In effect calling the Iraqis terrorists even though before the war there were no terrorists in Iraq that were attacking the US or had anything to do with the US. So can you imagine how that sounds to the Iraqis? Can you see the absolute immorality of this administration and what it has done by going into a country and causing mass civil war chaos, with deaths in the 100,00's of thousands. This shit is out of control! The macho, dumb-ass reactionary comments of a president witout a clue are going to lead us into fucking armegeddon. Peeps needs to chill, be fucking quiet, be smart, get some real intelligence going, and work deeply on diplomacy and quit enciting idiot dictators with inflamatory rhetoric. peace out.

You must beg for absolution, Kona, for you have sinned.
The almost religious self-rightousness of the opponents of this war reminds me of a quote by D.H . Lawrence on this mindset written just before he died:
"They want an outward system of nullity. which they call peace and good will, so that in there own souls they can be little gods...little moral absolutes, secure from questions...it stinks. It is the will of a louse."
- mrdobolina0
you have a million quotes to justify your bullshit, cactus.
