(Nov 9 06, 10:59)Ahhhh, you mean for all the work I've done for them? Nope, didn't get any perks for that. My deal wasn't with United directly, but rather the company that makes all the inflight mags.

you know, i thought that might be the case pretty much right after i hit broadcast. are clients the lamest? ; )
have a great time w/ your son, arthur. you will love it together.

Thanks for the well wishes. This will be our first time traveling alone together. Should be some good father-son time. I'm looking forward to it.

N.Shore Maui... rent a windsurf rig a call it a trip :)
and of course, do the road to Hana. Stop by Ho'okipa on the way.

my wife and i were in kaanapali in september and spent most of our time there and lahaina. never made it to the north side of the island. have a lot of fun there though. it's such an amazing place.
if it were me i'd look into some easy trail bike rides and take him to the volcano. he'll probably love it. don't waste your time with the hidden pools trip, it's boring and crowded. hidden my ass.
have fun. be safe.

I'd love to go windsurfing, but it will be just me and my 4year old son traveling. He can't swim and I can't let him out of my sight.

horton, I competed in that contest once when I lived on maui, no wind, no waves, no fun. got my ass handed to me. haha

(Nov 8 06, 12:52)damn you must have some keen sailing skills.. i used to go quite a bit but never really ventured out into surf.
arthur. you are going to be on the nshore during the primo event of the year. definitely a must see.

i guess your only option then is to go to the beach and try to pick up bride's maids using your son's charms

Your kid is going to get so laid.

I moved to maui after wave sailing on the california coast for a few years. Was into big wave riding more than competing but decided to do that contest for fun and, well, it was the first and last one.
good times though.
