His being a religious person would have nothing to do with hiring him.
His lack of enthusiam however, would.
Plus, he seemingly moved here to CO Springs to work at the ministry where that guy just got busted for having sex with a male prostitute and using meth.
I doubt he would be comfortable working with our environment.
Nice enough chap.

Careful buddy, if this designer knew you weren't hiring him because he had done work for a christian band, which led you to believe he was a christian nut, he would have a pretty good lawsuit on his hands.

(Nov 9 06, 14:07)We aren't hiring him because he had a total lack of enthusiasm and couldn't commit to working for us for more than a year. Like I've already said - his being a religious man had nothing to do with anything.

I get it, you don't owe me any explanations, I know where you are coming from.
I'm just saying some designer with a chip on his shoulder armed with an ambulance chasing lawyer, might see your original post and misinterpret it.

so you dismissed him just for that? rather lame.
you feel good about yourself now?

(Nov 9 06, 14:18)For what? Having no enthusiam? Not being able to commit to working fulltime for longer than a year? Not really having any process?
I made a joke about a shitty Xtian band song title and switching off. I still asked him a lot of questions, and after the interview was over we decided not to ask him back for round 2 of our 3 round interview process.
Now I am going to be really fucking clear about this:
The work he did for religious bands, people, and churches, had nothing to do with our decision.

Yeah that might not be the reason, but that comment you made is enough to force a settlement. Unless your company wants to spend even more money proving that it wasn't because of his work with a religious band. If I was your boss and saw this I would fire you for being a liability.

how should i retrieve all that info from your initial post jevad?
- kyl30
I don't think 'switching off' constitutes a decision either way, shit when I interviewed at nics place, there was like 10 people around me and I pretty much switched off too
- Abandoned0
but it can be construed in a negative fashion. It's also rather unprofessional to broadcast it.
- kyl30
were any names mentioned?

I learned yesterday (well... learned it again... meaning: I was reminded that...)... via an interview of myself as a matter of fact...
...that NT is a very small world.
- mpfree0
If I were that kid and realized that you did that to me, I'd sue you, your company and anyone else associated with that group.
Hypocrite.
- mpfree0
Hahaha. Thanks for pointing out that nice little Colorado State law, PonyBoy.

(Nov 9 06, 14:57)how so?
- PonyBoy0
eh... the people on here are 'out there' too...
... :) I always thought that NT's residents were lil gnomes that fed off of internet sludge that built up on sites like yayhooray etc... then came over to NT to try and enjoy themselves...
... turns out... they are real humans!! I had a series of interviews on weds... half the folks interviewing me admitted their NT citizenship after discussing places we do research, get info etc etc...
go NT!!
