i really hate when a guy with no motion work whatsover comments like ' it can be done in a few hours in after effects..

wow.
wow wow wow wow wow
that was probbaly the best bond movie for many, many , many years!
i was a craig hater when he was first announced but boy did he prove me wrong! that man oozes sex appeal. what a great movie! awesome pace - great story - dark as shit in some places especially that torture scene - I thought craig brought an amazingly raw and vulnerable interpretation of the character.
can't wait to see it again!

oh yeah and I thought the titles were a refreshing change!

one more for our side ;)
damn, I may see it again today. Either that or Happy Feet, and both are good films, I hear :)
Half my family will be going to see each film but I haven't decided yet.

the reason I was thinking about seeing Happy Feet was because I already saw Casino Royale but it's almost too brilliant to not see again...
- jevad0
hahaha
that's teh debate currently going on here. my son wants to go and see happy feet tonight and my wife and I want to go see Bond again!

nice :)

are you comfortable with your son watching Casino Royale?
just curious.

I think it's rated PG here but PG-13 in the U.S.

Yeah we took Danny to it. He's only 9..but it's Bond. There really weren't that many inappropriate scenes. None of the sex scenes got too steamy - the only thing that I didn't like him watching was the torture scene in the boat - but I don't think he really got what was going on. There were a couple other kids in the theatre too - but we did get some funny looks when we were leaving.

yeah, the sex scenes weren't too bad and I didn't think the torture scene was as bad as people said it was because you couldn't actually see the effect of it. as in, it wasn't zoomed in on or anything. Anyway, there are many worse films out there.

I've noticed that more women also like this Bond film. Possible reasons may include: Craig is sexy and somewhat charismatic, the film is actually good, Bond really falls in love with someone, the women aren't flaunted around as much, etc.
I don't know why I'm writing this. I guess my film geekiness is coming through, haha.

heh

So I watched it again. The opening titles were much shorter this time around (in my mind, of course) and the theme song by Chris Cornell is pretty catchy and cool. My father still likes Sean Connery and those "times" because of the gadgets, but I'll take character development (multi-layered character) and someone a bit odd looking like Craig (and even Vesper was a bit unconventionally beautiful) over people who are too good looking.

I just saw the movie. The credits are interesting but I didn't like that the actual credits weren't integrated more into the animation...I found it hard to read the credits and catch everything else too.
Everything else was great...oh, wait except would Bond really drive a Chrysler???
