I have two monitors here at work because that's what the company had when I got here. There are suggestions that dual monitors offer a more efficient workspace and improve workflow (http://www.lifehacker.com/softw... although as I sit here and surf NT all day, I would suggest an increase on zero work is easy with one monitor or twenty.
All I was trying to say was that for a site that doesn't need to resize a browser window to display their work (which I never suggested was anything less than excellent) it makes it difficult for me to browse it when every time I click a link it shifts my browser somewhere I can't see what's going on properly.
It's a small gripe I wanted to mention it.

Why do you need two screens?

site looks fine in Safari. Golden work, too. I don't taste any sour grapes here.

what printing process have these guys used for their books and posters? do they get it printed in bulk, because of the printing process?
whenever i get my work printed at a laser printing store, they always come out looking like shit...

I don't have any issues with the resizing or whatnot, but regardless it's a petty thing to just look past. It's like saying you can't stand tDR's website sounds... bear with it, the work makes up for it.

Critical edge? the sites not that bad, in fact pretty good. Most "good looking" sites are full od the smae shite. This has a real difference to me it which when combimed with the guys ages makes me even more impressed.

People in glass houses....

sometimes i think people have lost their critical edge.
no.
i don't "think".
i'm sure of it.

Sometimes I think you guys can't see the forest for the trees, so to speak.
The work is brilliant.

i posted my comment on the rollovers because they're too jumpy and you can't see the text nor even where your mouse is.

dual-monitor or not, t's worth mentioning the resize because it IS really great work, and it's a shame the will turn many people away before they see it.
I liked the work enough to stay past the browser-resize, but usually I just close the window when the window changes size.
And I think designers should appreciate a website whether it was made for them or not. My non-design friends wouldn't see anything wrong with lower-case comic sans set vertically on a rainbow gradient, but that doesn't make it a good idea.

Taken all into consideration, is that site that bad? so bad that you would ignore the work? no.
i've seen far worst stuff in here than this. far far worst. Actually their site is very elegant; nice layout, i like the rollovers.

i think the first comments were just about minor details such as are commonly noted around here - it wasn't a critic. i don't see a point in the fuss...

I dont think they fail at all. I doubt they've built that site solely for the viewing of another designer viewing it on dual screens as im sure no one here has any intention of commissioning them (which is why most designers bother putting stuff on line isn't it?)
I think its easy to for designers to think that things are designed solely to please them....simply, I dont think we are target audience so whats it matter?
The site isn't great but on it is quality print work which takes some beating. In my opinion.
