Why do you need two screens?

...and this is why Newstoday is so utterly irrelevant.

.i can agree with the conclusion, but your logical steps give me the impression you belong in a Britney Spear's thread.

I have two monitors here at work because that's what the company had when I got here. There are suggestions that dual monitors offer a more efficient workspace and improve workflow (http://www.lifehacker.com/softw... although as I sit here and surf NT all day, I would suggest an increase on zero work is easy with one monitor or twenty.
All I was trying to say was that for a site that doesn't need to resize a browser window to display their work (which I never suggested was anything less than excellent) it makes it difficult for me to browse it when every time I click a link it shifts my browser somewhere I can't see what's going on properly.
It's a small gripe I wanted to mention it.

these kids will take your jobs and resize your dual incomes, be afraid, be very afraid...
frankie shits on this thread and I join him and squeeze a poo...

People in glass houses....

I don't have any issues with the resizing or whatnot, but regardless it's a petty thing to just look past. It's like saying you can't stand tDR's website sounds... bear with it, the work makes up for it.

Critical edge? the sites not that bad, in fact pretty good. Most "good looking" sites are full od the smae shite. This has a real difference to me it which when combimed with the guys ages makes me even more impressed.

Very different disciplines. I personally can't build a website but cant see peoples issue with this one.
I looked at the site (in safari) and it worked fine so maybe they designed it with that browser in mind. I think its sad that people instead of saying "what great work, though the resize..." instead just jump on the negative.

(Dec 12 06, 03:53)couldn't agree more, some of the work is stunning.

the site design and resizing are pretty much ruining any chance of me really enjoying the work..
some decent stuff...but the awful site is blowing any chance at a good first impression...and considering we are in the business of perception and making and impression, i'd say 'you fucking fail'...basically...

what printing process have these guys used for their books and posters? do they get it printed in bulk, because of the printing process?
whenever i get my work printed at a laser printing store, they always come out looking like shit...
- Witt0
i don't see how discussing the site can affect the quality of the work.
- version30
my duals didn't center (but its happened before) this just extended my browser down off screen(?) and narrowed it a bit, i spent longer writing this than i did looking at that site
- Witt0
nor vice-versa. most beautifully designed websites have nothing in it.
- gradiate0
Maybe they are print designers not web designers? This site has some amaazing work on it and that should be the focus, not wether it re-sizes your browser.

Link?

consider the fact that what most of us do is create websites to promote companies.
it is our job to present them in the best possible light.
that means that how we see them online is as perfect and impressive as we can make it.
If I did nothing but print design, and i hired a webdesigner to create a site for me, and he turned in 'that'...i'm thinking my reply would be 'and you think you're getting paid????'that said, like everyone else here, i think these guys have massive talent as designers..and i'm willing to forgive just about anything when i see a poster like this
http://www.wayshapeform.info/BC.…that poster is brilliant.
shame about the site tho...

site looks fine in Safari. Golden work, too. I don't taste any sour grapes here.

I dont think they fail at all. I doubt they've built that site solely for the viewing of another designer viewing it on dual screens as im sure no one here has any intention of commissioning them (which is why most designers bother putting stuff on line isn't it?)
I think its easy to for designers to think that things are designed solely to please them....simply, I dont think we are target audience so whats it matter?
The site isn't great but on it is quality print work which takes some beating. In my opinion.
