Is it just me or does anyone else thing the crop of shirts coming out of threadless are too busy and over colored? I used to like it more when things were a little more illustrated and less vectored. I used to have a hard time picking one, now I have a hard time picking any to buy.

And perhaps its just times changing? Not in a "they're shit now" way, more in a "trends change" kinda way
Jeeze, get with the times

I'm pretty sure they're doing ok out of it though. No?
- ninjasavant0
Yeah, they're not horrible shirts and they're doing ok. I guess I'm just not into this 80s revival that won't seem to die.

They're more trendy in general now. I only look at the "Select" tees now, and even those ones aren't the greatest, in my opinion. Or they are sold out.

Agreed. I have a batch of shirt designs I work on every now and then to submit, and none of them are near the current style you see there. More like the older stuff, the more abstract stuff that was just artwork and did not have a point or some kind of hidden irony. I do, however, have one shirt in progress that, if it were to win and print, it would be a "why didn't I think of that?" shirt. I'm not telling!
- I'll bet it's chock full of ironic pop culture reference. ;)harlequino
- In a way, yes. At least this makes me want to finish it. Seriously, it's stupid, but clever.mg33

"My other shirt is ironic."
- In gold shiny lettering, also with Bodoni Poster.

Yup I agree too. Used to be into these shirts, and I have 4 or 5. They seemed to have have sunk into a particular style or theme. Haven't seen anything I would wear in a while. They also seem much "younger" lately. Skewed to a younger demo maybe?

The level of detail there on some shirts is amazing though. Not my style, but I'm constantly impressed by the skills of some shirt designers there.

Us middle timers should rise up and start voting.

does anyone know another site they use similar to threadless?

my online store sells a t shirt that always displays the latest ffffound "top" image

I was just about to broadcast a thread about this - glad I used the filter button :)
- 3 years ago they were awesome, now it seems as if every 'designer' is trying to be too cute or ironic. I don't know, maybe I wouldn't think so if I weren't in my mid-20's. Do you 14-16 year olds out there dig these recent designs?
- Jaline0
If you read the comments you'll see that 95% of the people who vote there absolutely love every design. It's quite sad.
- or each user has like 20 fake user accounts, like they do here :)bulletfactory
- i only have 1 fake account heredtan

just wait a few more years...90s revival!!! 20 yr cycles...oh crap...
- dtan0
but yes, i think they've been on the decline design wise for a while now.

And is it me or does the quality and make of the shirt keep changing? I think they now use their own brand, but their older shirts fit and feel great while the new ones are a little rough. Actually, the graphic ones are usually fine, but I once bought one of the type shirts and it feels like sandpaper! I don't think I've ever worn the shirt.

- I have this one too!ninjasavant
- yea I thought this was a sick idea.dbloc
