Drop the grad (as said)
Loose all other elements perhaps not the screw. This is the most interesting element there but it needs to be more abstract, bit too manpower thoughAgree about the U – very Uninspiring
- Spookytim0
Wow, Paraselene is exactly right about fourty posts back... I thought it DID say 'uninspired' after repeated reads and only discovered it didn't when he/she commented that it could be read as such!
- Spookytim0
Spacing. The URL will always be, of course, but at least in visual form the spacing between the U and Inspired could be opened to make a break. Can't think of any other way personally, but then, I have been here since 2006 hehehe.

Ok, it does read uninspired, and I think that it will read like that a lot and as such is completely at odds with what you are actually trying to say so by buying the domain names and sticking with them are you just trying to flog a dead horse?
Im not trying to be difficult but it seems like you're going to give yourself headaches over the name. Domain names are that expensive right? $6 dollars a year is what ive seen. Jesus, take the hit on it and get a new name.

(adroit means cleverly skillful, resourceful, or ingenious)Hit the thesaurus and look for alternatives, I spent 5 mins doing it and it worked out ok, it'll be better for you in the long run as you'll end up with a more unique name and that will feed into the logo design. Best of luck with it chief.
- that should read 'domain names aren't that expensive'...ian
- good advice! take it on the chin, sonny, and have a fresh look at the brand you are building.paraselene
- Best feedback yet, thanks for the constructive criticism ian.fodcj

If you had to choose one of the 3 which would it be?
None start again!

Yeah that..... ^

I think the reason everyone is reading it as 'unispired' is because when we read/understand type our eye recognises the shape of the word, therefore the U set so close to the word inspired convinces us to believe the word is unispired!
*breathes out!
- sorry uninspired!uncle_helv
- << and I still read that as 'uninspired' and so proved your point again!ian

Just tweaking it and will post in a minute... if you guys still really don't like it after that I will re-think. Thanks again for the comments.

I like the Idea, but the logo does not read very well.
- Rodimus790
I'm not sure whose idea this was, but considering the phrasing, shouldn't the logo include a question mark? I'm not inspired by poor english.

- experiment with other typefacesbulletfactory
- If you are going to use those ticks maybe give them a little flame shape. Right now it's a bit random.voiceof
- Spookytim0
I'm surprised that I quite like the little ticked-in dots on the i as that would not normally do it for me, but I think it needs soemthing and without it this isn't really a logo that could commented on so much as its a piece of typesetting. Really really hate the gradients. Makes me feel like my screen is developing a fault.
I don't know... its not great. Maybe you just need to typeset it all in a nicer font. Reminds me of niceday stationers.
- 7340
yeah i'll agree the font isn't very inspiring. looks like arial black or something similar (god i hope all the typophiliacs flame me on this one)
also i would like to see the lightbulb as a question mark as a few people already stated.
and im no expert but i dont think a gradient has any business on a logo. ever.

3 its the one that reads Uninspired the least

Leaving aside the idea of the site (which seems odd), the name choice, the trendy gradients and overused "light bulb = idea" idea (maybe that could use some inspiration!)...
You have a syntax issue. The large "U" – or perhaps any "u" – in front of the word "inspired" creates a kind of mnemonic device that gives you "uninspired" which is far stronger than reading "U" as a word of its own. It seems there is no way around that issue if you keep the existing syntax.
The eye reads across the "u" + "i" combination and makes a short "u" vowel sound. And then the eye recognizes the pattern/word for "inspired." So you end up always with "uh inspired" – in which case the closest word association leads you to place an "n" in between the two parts to make one word.
If you must use some semblance of the name "Are you inspired?" then make it just that. No trendy word abbreviations 4ever.
And drop the light bulb which is trying to beat the only visual cue you could think of for "idea." Likely folks looking for inspiration want more than the over-the-counter cliches – you'll have to do better.
- reread, sounds a little harsh – I don't mean any negativity, just trying to give it to you straight!letters2
