I like the country club one - because let's face it - what's the difference?

track it out. twin oaks is way too tight in all of them.

I feel that the first version, the stack of typography, works the best out of the lot, as the other treatments are tied visually closer to a hotel/home development - I can't put my finger on it exactly, but your logomark could easily swing either way given its context. In addition, the stacked typography reinforces the vertical aspects when locked up the way you have it, driving the cross connotation event stronger.
However, I would advise continuing to explore the column width and spacing between the mark and the typography. The typeface selection is working well, the "T" form doesn't feel disjointed in this version, but rather integrated.

I like 2 and 5 best. Very good work, and good for you for doing this for your church. Good design is goodwill.

i like 6 best. Where the type of each word is all caps ands all the same size (1-5), "OAKS" doesn't even look like a word, it just looks odd. i like 6 over 7 because the serifs on the capital T slant down, drawing you down to the rest of he type, rather than 7, which directs my eye to the side. If it weren't for that fact, i'd say 7.

Now if only that eagle-eyed Spookytim would weigh in, I'd be set for Sunday.

Hmmm, I like 7 as well. It has the most pared down feel to it, which makes it seem more serious and spiritual.

#7 is the winner. It has best contrast between thick and thin

Well I like #1 also. Nice work.
- Well, you see, gramme, currently I am enjoying being grounded in my room...capsize

Round Two.
They've selected a concept, thankfully the best idea won. Now we're working on typographic variations. Meeting tomorrow morning. My favorite is #1 but tell me what you guys think. We'd like to be able to use the mark with and without the logotype, with and without the mark k/o in an oval container. I like the detail on #1 (vs. #2) but am worried about how it holds up small.
Open to thoughts/suggestions etc...Also I've been kerning like a madman and now my eyes hurt, so feedback there would be helpful as well.
