I am of the cut variety. I will just say this, a few years back I had to have some of it "redone", but the first time (at infanthood) didn't take so well and over the decades some of it healed where it grew painful, so the doc said "Well, it's an outpatient procedure in the office...just a half hour under a local or so to fix it up..."
High holy crap did that suck. Every morning for a month afterwards instead of being woken by Mr. Happy and his friendly "Hey, we gotta pee" urge I got the "Holy shit motherfucker! flesh is tearing down here and I think the stitches broke open and fuck does this hurt. Wake the fuck up@ Oh yeah, we might have to pee too, but wake the fuck up and think about Margaret Thatcher in some sort of dangly undergarment or some shit so we can at least get the hurting to stop..." I couldn't imagine having to do the whole thing as an adult...insane...
But if I have a boy he's gonna get cut. And no, it's an aesthetic issue and it's good enough for me.
